On Thursday, June 4, ONA nursing homes members from across Ontario, including our members from Extendicare Brampton and Burton Manor, held information pickets outside their workplaces to demand fair wages, benefits and safe working conditions.

VON Toronto/York-Peel Site Bargaining Unit President Lorna Thompson joined hundreds of ONA members and allies, including MPP (and RN) Tyler Watt, to commemorate and honour the lives of those impacted by violence. We are pushing for the implementation of safe staffing levels to help protect health-care workers.
